Author, translator and lyricist
Besides being an accomplished actor, singer and director, Heiko careered as a well-known author, lyricist and translator. He writes for diverse comedy-formats, as well as for musical theatre plays.
Together with the composer Martin Lingnau, Heiko signed responsible for the productions "Swinging St Pauli/Swinging Berlin", and "Villa Sonnenschein". Their hit-musical "Heisse Ecke" is now playing its 7th year in Hamburg and has been seen by more than 750.000 spectators. Also with Matin Lingnau he wrote the songs for "Ein besserer Herr" by Dieter Wedel and numerous songs for "Pension Schmidt" at the Hamburg Schmidt Theatre.
Their musical "Die 13 ½ Leben des Käpt`n Blaubär" based on the well-known (ARD) story by Walter Moers was awarded the LEA- Live Entertainment Award in 2007. The Tour of "Swinging St Pauli" was awarded with the Intega Price for Best Tour Production.
Contracted by Stage Entertainment, Heiko developed the musical adaptation of Bully Herbig`s acclaimed film "Der Schuh des Manitu" as lyricist and script consultant. Most recently he translated the lyrics of the Broadway success "Hairspray" for the Musical Dome in Cologne and the musical version of "Sister Act", a co-production of Stage Entertainment with Whoopi Goldberg for the Hamburg Operettenhaus.
